AMPANG: A 33-year-old ehailing driver, who was reported missing since last week, has been safely found in Pandamaran, Klang.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said the driver, Syahrul Asyraf Dahlan, was found at the side of the road in Pandamaran at about 5.40pm on Friday (July 19).
“He is safe and was not injured.
“He told police that he did not inform his family of his whereabouts as he experiencing a critical financial problem,” he said in a statement on Friday.
Syahrul Asyraf’s family members have also been informed that he was safely found, he added.
It was reported that the police were looking for Syahrul Asyraf following a police report lodged on July 14.
His last contact with his family members was on July 12.
He was also known to have driven a brown Proton Persona with the number plate VCE4826.
His family members also told police that the last time Syahrul Asyraf stayed at one of his family members’ home in Pandan Jaya was on July 3.
