KOTA KINABALU: A teenage couple reported missing from Sabah’s interior Keningau district was found safe here on Thursday (Oct 24), four days after they disappeared.
Keningau OCPD Supt Yampil Garai confirmed that the two teenagers, missing since Oct 20, were spotted by the girl’s cousin in the Asia City area.
The families of Natelia Vanessa Rosman, 17, and Aaron Carter Lim, 19, had filed separate missing person reports on Tuesday (Oct 22).
“Initial investigations indicate that the pair had been staying in Kota Kinabalu’s Segama area prior to their discovery,” Garai said.
Natelia’s sister noticed her absence from their home in Kampung Pagansangan, Api-Apin, on Sunday (Oct 20) and lodged a police report after being unable to reach her on her mobile.
Natelia had also reportedly missed classes at Keningau Vocational College.
Meanwhile, Aaron, believed to be Natelia’s boyfriend, last contacted his family on Sunday, requesting money for transport to the southwestern Papar district.
When he failed to return home the next day and calls to his phone went unanswered, his family also lodged a report.
Aaron, also a vocational college student, was on a study sabbatical from Oct 20 to Nov 4, Garai added.
