Carlos Sainz has expressed his desire to compete for a championship in his final season at Ferrari before Lewis Hamilton takes over his seat, emphasizing that he will continue to be a team player. The 29-year-old Spaniard, speaking from the Fiorano test track where Ferrari unveiled their new car, stated that he feels honored to have been part of the team for the past four years.

Despite his impending departure, Sainz has received overwhelming support and is fully focused on the upcoming season. He remains positive about his future prospects and is eager to see what lies ahead.

Sainz, who has won two races for Ferrari and achieved five pole positions and three fastest laps, reflected on his time with the team, expressing overall positive sentiments. He emphasized his goal of winning a championship at Ferrari and staying optimistic about potential opportunities in the future.

Describing the upcoming season as crucial, Sainz is determined to make the most of his time with Ferrari. He acknowledged the inevitability of change and expressed his eagerness to pursue his ambition of becoming a world champion.

Sainz’s impending departure from Ferrari has made him a significant figure in the driver market for 2025. Potential options include taking over Hamilton’s seat at Mercedes, partnering with Max Verstappen at Red Bull, or joining the Audi factory team in 2026.
