Red Bull’s Max Verstappen secured his 17th win of the Formula One season in Brazil, extending his record-breaking streak. Starting from pole position, Verstappen led the Sao Paulo Grand Prix which was red-flagged and re-started.
Lando Norris from McLaren finished second and also secured an additional point for the fastest lap. Fernando Alonso from Aston Martin took third place after an exciting battle to the finish line with Sergio Perez from Red Bull.
This victory marks Verstappen’s 52nd career win. He secured the championship title last month in Qatar, while Red Bull has also successfully defended their constructors’ title. So far, Red Bull has emerged victorious in 19 out of the 20 races held.
