PETALING JAYA: MyDigital has announced the temporary suspension of the newly-launched ‘AI untuk Rakyat’ portal today (Feb 2).
Due to an overwhelming surge of registrations, the AI untuk Rakyat portal is currently suspended while undergoing a cybersecurity review by the platform provider,” said MyDigital on its Facebook page and website.
MyDigital, an agency under the Economy Ministry, is responsible for implementing initiatives under the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint and National 4IR policy.
The agency is currently working to address the issue and aims to have the programme back up as soon as possible.
The AI Untuk Rakyat portal, under “AI.gov.my,” was launched on Jan 16 as a free learning portal for the rakyat to gain a better understanding of artificial intelligence (AI).
The programme comprises two modules – AI Aware and AI Appreciate.
Upon completing each module, users can generate a digital badge through the portal. MyDigital estimates that each module will take approximately four hours to complete.
On Jan 17, Public Service Director General Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz announced via a circular that all civil servants are required to complete the ‘AI Untuk Rakyat’ learning programme to enhance their awareness of advanced technology.
