In a recent post on his official Facebook page, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has issued a challenge to Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh and other critics to engage in an open debate regarding the RM42mil SRC International case.
Najib invited Ramkarpal to participate in a televised open debate along with a representative from his own side, stating, “Our officers will reach out to you for suitable dates if any of you agree.”
If Ramkarpal declines, Najib suggested that other “haters” such as Tony Pua and Hanipa Maidin could take his place in the debate.
He emphasized that since the case has concluded, there is no longer subjudice or contempt of court, and therefore it is time for an open forum to inform the public and allow them to form their own conclusions based on facts.
Najib expressed frustration that many individuals do not comprehend the facts of the case and did not follow the court proceedings, stating, “It does not help that MPs such as Ramkarpal neglected to mention or address the many irregularities that led to the Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak and head of the SRC case review panel concluding that a great injustice has fallen on Najib, and the correct decision is to acquit him.”
