Datuk Nicol David, the squash legend, expressed pride in S. Sivasangari’s recent achievement and stated that she has the potential to create her own success story. Nicol, an eight-time world champion, hopes that Sivasangari will be recognized for her own abilities and skills as a player.

Nicol stayed up to watch the London Classic final on Monday, where Sivasangari defeated world No. 2 Hania El Hammamy to become the first Malaysian to win a gold level tournament in the Professional Squash Association (PSA) world tour. Sivasangari’s victory included wins over world No. 1 Nour ElSherbini and world No. 4 Nele Gilis.

Impressed by Sivasangari’s performance, Nicol praised her squash sense and court awareness, describing her as a unique player. The question now arises: how far can Sivasangari go in her career, and can she match Nicol’s remarkable achievements?

Nicol believes that Sivasangari has the potential to go as far as she desires, with the key being to provide encouragement and motivation to support her goals and aspirations.
