According to KCNA state news agency, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin in response to the tragic events at a Moscow concert hall, condemning the act of terrorism that resulted in numerous casualties. Kim expressed his deep sympathy to Putin, the Russian people, the victims, and their families following what was described as a “large-scale terrorist attack in the Moscow region.”

The message, which was sent on Saturday, reiterated North Korea’s firm stance against all forms of terrorism, emphasizing that nothing can justify such acts that threaten human life.

Kim’s relationship with Putin has been growing stronger in recent months, marked by personal friendship and enhanced ties between their respective countries. This rapport was further solidified by Kim’s visit to Russia’s far east last year and North Korea’s support for Moscow during its conflict with Ukraine.

It is worth noting that DPRK stands for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which is North Korea’s official name.

Following the shooting incident on Friday at the concert hall, Russia announced that all four gunmen involved had been arrested, with the militant Islamist group Islamic State claiming responsibility for the attack. Russia’s state Investigative Committee reported a total of 133 casualties from the tragic event.

This development underscores the ongoing global fight against terrorism and the need for international cooperation to address such threats effectively.

Overall, Kim’s message to Putin reflects a shared commitment to combating terrorism and protecting human lives, despite any differences or political tensions that may exist between their respective countries. By expressing his condolences and sympathy, Kim is reaffirming North Korea’s support for Russia during this challenging time and standing in solidarity with the victims and their families.

As the investigation into the Moscow concert hall attack continues, the international community remains vigilant and united in condemning acts of terrorism and promoting peace and security worldwide.

With both leaders emphasizing the importance of cooperation and unity in the face of terrorism, this tragic event serves as a reminder of the critical need to work together to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals.

By issuing this message of sympathy, Kim and Putin are sending a strong message to the world about the need to stand together against terrorism and uphold the shared values of peace, unity, and respect for human life.

The relationship between North Korea and Russia will likely continue to evolve as both countries navigate complex geopolitical challenges and work towards a safer, more peaceful world for all.
