The rubber-stamp parliament of North Korea has recently made changes to the country’s constitution in order to establish its nuclear policy, according to state media KCNA. The Supreme People’s Assembly has unanimously approved “the crucial agenda item for formulating the DPRK’s policy on the nuclear force as the basic law of the state,” with DPRK referring to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
During his address to the parliament, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un emphasized the importance of accelerating the development and modernization of nuclear weapons to maintain a strategic deterrence edge, KCNA reported.
