As of 8pm on Tuesday (Nov 14), the number of evacuees at temporary relief centres in Perlis, Perak, and Kedah has decreased.
In PERLIS, Lt Col (PA) Mohd Izaimi Md Daud, the state Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) director, stated that the number of evacuees has dropped to 41 people from 12 families compared to 44 people from 13 families reported in the morning.
The relief centre at Titi Tinggi Hilir hall, Padang Besar, is still housing evacuees, but some have been allowed to return home at 6.45pm.
In PERAK, the state Disaster Management Committee Secretariat reported that the number of evacuees has decreased to 210 people from 61 families in three districts, as compared to 269 people from 80 families in the morning.
In Hilir Perak, the relief centres at Padang Tembak multipurpose hall and Chikus multipurpose hall are still open, housing 107 people from 31 families and 19 people from five families, respectively.
Similarly, at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Changkat Lobak and SK Alor Pongsu in Kerian, evacuees are accommodated, while in the Kinta district, some evacuees have returned home.
Additionally, the relief centre at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Gerik in Hulu Perak has been closed at 2pm, and all evacuees have returned home.
Meanwhile, in KEDAH, the number of evacuees in the relief centre has decreased to 31 people from seven families, compared to 43 people from 11 families in the morning.
Kubang Pasu district APM officer Captain (PA) Mohd Adenin Suhaimi stated that some evacuees from Kampung Paya Tok Keong, Kampung Paya Tok Teh, and Kampung Biak are still housed in the centre, while others have been allowed to go home.
