SAINT QUENTIN-EN-YVELINES, France (Reuters) – New Zealand’s Ellesse Andrews won gold in the Olympic track cycling women’s sprint at the National Velodrome on Sunday.
Andrews beat Germany’s Lea Friedrich 2-0 in the final to add to her gold in the keirin. Britain’s world champion Emma Finucane beat Dutch rider Hetty van de Wouw to take the bronze.
