Approximately 200,000 people are expected to attend the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair 2023, which will take place at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) from September 1 to 2.

In the announcement, MATTA deputy president Sheikh Awadh Abdullah revealed that RHB Banking Group will be the exclusive platinum sponsor of this edition of the fair.

“We are delighted to have RHB as our platinum sponsor and we hope that this partnership will be mutually beneficial,” Sheikh Awadh Abdullah said on Wednesday (Aug 23).

He also added that the fair is expected to generate RM350 million in total sales, with RM70 million coming from domestic revenue and turnover alone.

During the fair, RHB Bank will offer attractive promotions for cardholders, as well as travel-related deals and discounts at Level 3 (Main Booth) and Level 1 for those who wish to apply for the RHB Multi Currency Visa Debit Card/-I or RHB Visa Credit Card/-i.

Holders of the multi-currency card can enjoy discounts of up to 60% on flights and hotel stays when they purchase travel packages from participating travel merchants at the fair.

In addition, cardholders can make transactions in Malaysian ringgit and 16 foreign currencies, access premium airport lounges, and earn RHB loyalty points for overseas retail spending.

Holders of the RHB card can also benefit from an interest-free instalment plan of up to 36 months through the RHB Smart Instalment Payment Plan or Dial-an-Instalment for their retail purchases.

Jeffrey Ng Eow Oo, Managing Director of Group Community Banking at RHB Banking Group, said they are thrilled to be part of the event and aim to create value for both MATTA and consumers.
