    Party members urged to fully back MCA amidst changing politics

    KUALA LUMPUR: Every party member should give full support to the party leadership amidst changing political challenges, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

    In his speech at the MCA state convention here, the MCA president spoke about the party’s role in nation building, promoting racial harmony, creating more education opportunities for the younger generation and protecting the rights of Malaysians.

    “I also urged party members to give full support to the party leadership, especially when it faces political challenges that are very different from before.

    “MCA will continue to conduct checks-and-balances to ensure the policies and decisions of the unity government will benefit the people,” said Dr Wee in a Facebook post on Saturday (Sept 2).

    Also present were MCA deputy president Datuk Mah Hang Soon; secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon; vice-presidents Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Datuk Tan Teik Cheng, Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker and Datuk Seri Yew Teong Look; Youth chief Datuk Nicole Wong, Wanita chief Wong You Fung and other leaders.

    The MCA state convention ended with the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territories, Putrajaya and Labuan MCA holding its convention at Wisma MCA on Saturday afternoon.
