The State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat stated that all the evacuees are still housed in four temporary evacuation centres in the districts of Kerian and Hilir Perak.

It further specified that the number of evacuees in Kerian remains the same at 100 people from 24 families, who are currently staying at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Changkat Lobak. Similarly, 57 people from 19 families are being accommodated at SK Alor Pongsu.

In Hilir Perak, the Padang Tembak multipurpose hall is providing shelter to 171 residents from 50 families, while 51 people from 14 families are staying at the Teluk Intan Municipal Council (MPTI) hall,” as per the statement issued by the State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat.

On a different note, the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) reported that the water level in Sungai Bidor in Changkat Jong has decreased, but it is still at a dangerous level, currently at 3.74 metres compared to the normal level of two metres.

The State Public Works Department informed that Jalan Kubu Gajah Ijok-Sumpitan in Selama remains closed to all vehicles due to landslides. The public is advised to use an alternative route via Jalan Pintasan Kampung Sumpitan-Kampung Masjid. Additionally, F 193 Jalan Proton City in the Mualim district is likewise closed to vehicles in both directions due to landslides. In Kerian, the FT 147 Jalan Selama route is only accessible to heavy vehicles, and the public is directed to use an alternative road on Jalan A111 Alor Pongsu-Bukit Merah Bypass.- Bernama
