In a throwback celebrating the PlayStation’s 30th Anniversary, Sony has announced a limited-edition version of the current generation PlayStation 5 (PS5), sporting the classic grey look of the original console.
The limited edition PS5 is the newer and slimmer digital-only variant of the console and is available via a bundle, with some accessories, priced at RM2,299.
The bundle features a 1TB solid-state drive, a matching grey limited-edition DualSense wireless controller, a console cover for the optional disc drive add-on, and a vertical stand.
Additionally, the set includes collectibles such as a PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing, four cable ties designed to look like the four PlayStation shapes, a PlayStation sticker, a limited-edition poster (one of 30 designs), and a paperclip shaped like the PlayStation logo.
Those looking to get a standalone limited-edition controller instead can pick between the DualSense Edge wireless controller (pre-orders priced at RM1,099) and the DualSense wireless controller (priced at RM399).
Also available for pre-order is the PlayStation Portal Remote Player, similarly sporting a nostalgic look and priced at RM1,099.
Those looking to pre-order the limited-edition versions of the console can do so through the participating retailers listed on the company’s website, with orders expected to ship by Nov 21.
Notably missing from the limited-edition lineup is the PS5 Pro version of the 30th Anniversary Collection console bundle, available in other regions. The PS5 Pro is still slated for a Malaysian launch on Nov 7, with pre-orders priced at RM3,849.
