Nevada police searched a house near Las Vegas in connection with the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated. No further details were provided regarding the owner of the house or the reason for the search.

The department confirmed that a search warrant was executed in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing investigation into Tupac Shakur’s homicide.

The department, which has jurisdiction over Henderson, declined to comment further.

Tupac Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting on September 7, 1996, and passed away six days later at the age of 25. No arrests have been made in the case.

The renowned rapper, activist, and actor was posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in June for selling over 75 million records globally.
