In Pasir Mas, the proposal to establish a buffer zone along the 99km Malaysia-Thailand border to combat smuggling has been submitted to the Home Ministry by Comm Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun. The Kelantan police chief mentioned that the ministry is currently reviewing the proposal.
