PETALING JAYA: Public feedback on the upcoming Circle Line (MRT3) project is welcome, says Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp).
It said the inspection exercise is an opportunity for the public to review and provide feedback on the proposed alignment, site and context plans and other essential details of the project.
It added that the public inspection exercise will be carried out for a period of three months from Sept 2 to Dec 2.
The company said the orbital rail line project which is currently in its final planning and development stages is designed to connect the existing Klang Valley public transport network and to improve mobility.
It added that the MRT3 will enable ease of travel for the city’s population and will span 51 kilometres around the city’s public transport perimeter and will integrate with existing MRT, LRT, KTM, and monorail lines through 10 interchanges and connecting stations.
MRT Corp then said that the Circle Line (MRT3) will offer shorter alternative routes to key destinations through the multiple integration points and provide critical connectivity to underserved areas of the city.
It said the three-month public inspection exercise will feature detailed information about the Circle Line (MRT3), including alignment maps, site plans, and project details in accordance with Section 84 of the Land Public Transport Act 2010.
MRT Corp said as part of the exercise, it has set up 35 designated locations throughout the Klang Valley which include eight MRT Info Kiosks and 27 MRT Info Trucks at key sites.

The company said those who are unable to visit the public inspection locations personally can access project materials and details online through the dedicated microsite.
MRT Corp then added that it welcomes feedback which the public may submit on the website throughout the three-month period, and said that those interested can also call MRT Corp’s customer careline at 1 800-88-6782 for inquiries or clarification.
