Recent reports have claimed that a child fell out of a moving vehicle near traffic lights in Kota Baru, Kelantan. The truth behind these claims is now revealed.

    Verdict:

    TRUE

Deputy police chief of Kota Baru, Supt Mohd Suhaimi Ali, has confirmed that a child did indeed fall from a car while it was making a U-turn at a traffic light on Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra on Tuesday (Oct 17).

The police are currently attempting to locate the child’s parents, who were involved in the incident.

“The incident took place at 5.42pm, when the driver failed to ensure that the door on the left passenger seat was properly closed,” stated Supt Mohd Suhaimi Ali in a press release on Wednesday (Oct 18).

According to him, this case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which deals with careless driving.
