A VIDEO making the rounds on social media claims that an attempted kidnapping happened at a residential neighbourhood in Labu, Negri Sembilan.
The video, which has since gone viral, also claimed that the attempted kidnapping involved the offer of RM100.

Police have confirmed that no attempted kidnapping involving an offer of RM100 occurred at a residential neighbourhood in Labu, despite claims circulating on social media, national news agency Bernama reported.
Nilai OCPD Supt Abdul Malik Hasim said, in a statement Sunday (Aug 11), that the police were aware of the video showing the alleged incident, which was posted on social media at 9.20pm.
“An investigation was conducted, and we found that the incident did not happen as claimed in the viral posts, and no police reports have been received regarding this matter so far.
“There have been no reports of missing children in the Labu area from January to this month,” he added.
Supt Abdul Malik also advised the public not to post any speculations or false statements on social media, particularly those that could cause alarm or disrupt public order. – Bernama
