A man in a car was seen in a recent viral video letting off fireworks while it was travelling down a road, with captions indicating that it was recorded in Kuala Lumpur.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari stated that police became aware of the 14 second video clip on Nov 12, at around 8.30pm.
He said the video showed an unknown individual letting off fireworks from a moving vehicle along Jalan 2/3A in Pusat Bandar Utara Kuala Lumpur.
“Our investigations confirmed that the video clearly showed a dangerous act,” ACP Ahmad Sukarno said.
He added that acting on information, police arrested a 31-year-old foreigner and a car believed to have been used in the incident.
“The suspect does not have a criminal record and will be remanded to help in investigations under Section 7 of the Explosives Act 1957,” he said.
ACP Ahmad Sukarno advised the public to obey the law and preserve the peace and harmony in Kuala Lumpur.
