MUSIC production is one of the most intriguing aspects of the music industry. From the songwriting process all the way to the producing of its beats and sounds to marketing the music.
With all the effort that goes into making music, is it true that a band once released a song of an album that was just over one second long?

TRUE
According to “Far Out Magazine”, English band Napalm Death hold the record for producing one of the shortest songs and putting it on an album.
The song ‘You Suffer’ – which is a mere 1.316 seconds long – was released on the band’s 1987 debut album “Scun”. The entire song only has four words: “You suffer, but why?”
Napalm Death was formed in 1981 consists of vocalist Barney Greenway, guitarist Mitch Harris, bassist Shane Embury and drummer Danny Herrera.
One of the band’s founders, Justin Broadrick, who has since left the group, was quoted as saying that:
“‘You Suffer’ was largely a comedy thing, one-second song. Utterly retarded. It’s ridiculous, but it was hilarious. We played that song in front of 30 local kids, like, every weekend. We played that song 30 times. It was a laugh.”
Despite its brief running time, the song has some long- and far-reaching effects.
The band went on to become a defining influence on the “noisecore” music sub-genre and inspired- Stefan Bollmann/Wikipedia acts such as Sore Throat and 7 Minutes of Nausea to release their own microsongs.
It was also reported that Swedish progressive metal act, Opeth, covered the song in 2018.
