Verdict:
TRUE
Two men have been arrested in connection with a fight that occurred inside an express bus at a bus station in Larkin, Johor Baru. Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat stated that a police report was lodged on Oct 10 at 1.03pm by a 22-year-old bus driver regarding the incident.
Following the report, a team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested two men believed to be the suspects. The duo, aged 36 and 40, were arrested on Oct 11 between 7pm and 11.30pm at Alor Gajah, Melaka, and Dataran Larkin, Johor Baru.
A background check revealed that both suspects have prior criminal records, though both tested negative for drugs. The initial investigation showed the fight was sparked by a miscommunication between the duo and the bus driver, leading to the assault on the victim.
The suspects are currently awaiting their remand order, and the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing harm. Earlier, a one-minute video showing two men beating a man inside the bus was posted on Facebook and had been viewed more than 1.8 million times.
