TRUE
Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the former Health DG, has taken to Facebook to clarify that he is not involved in a diabetes treatment scam that bears his name. He received a text asking for confirmation about a news report on a diabetes treatment, which he denounced as a scam and fake news. Dr Noor Hisham warned others to be cautious and not fall for the scam, sharing a link to the scammer’s page.
This scammer’s page imitates a local Malay language news portal and promotes an herbal remedy that claims to cure diabetes, help with weight loss, muscle gain, and even increase male potency. However, there are no supporting studies for these claims, and Dr Noor Hisham clarified that the alleged interview never actually happened.
The Star advises its readers to be skeptical of dubious claims and promises like this diabetes treatment scam. If someone is suffering from diabetes, it is essential to seek proper medical advice from a qualified doctor and adhere to a designated treatment plan.
