A female buffalo found herself in this situation after falling into a monsoon drain while grazing at Parit Cina grassland in Padang Temu here.
Luckily, a member of the public called the Fire and Rescue Department after seeing the buffalo stuck in the drain and making strange noises.
Melaka Fire and Rescue Department commander Amran Kasim said seven men were involved in the rescue mission at about 9am on Tuesday (Dec 19).
He said the spooked female buffalo was rescued by using rope and his men took about 15mins to complete the mission.
