An abandoned property has the potential to be an unsightly nuisance, a hub for criminal activities, and a breeding ground for unwanted pests.

Recently, there was a shocking discovery in Batu Pahat – bones were found in an abandoned house.

Speculation arose: were these bones of human origin?

    Verdict:

    TRUE

The authorities confirmed that human leg bones were indeed discovered in an abandoned house along Jalan Besar Tongkang Pechah.

The Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah disclosed that the findings were reported to them at 11.30am on Feb 28.

According to ACP Ismail, a forensics team from Johor police headquarters promptly responded to the report. Upon investigation, they identified two femur bones, two fibulas, and two tibias.

These bones have been dispatched to the Chemistry Department for a DNA analysis process,” he stated in a press release on Wednesday (March 6).

He indicated that the analysis is projected to take approximately a month to complete.

“We urge the public to refrain from jumping to conclusions about this discovery,” ACP Ismail cautioned.

He also urged individuals with any pertinent information to reach out to the police at 07-4363300.
