With the help of her sister Nadiah Shahirah, she charges a nominal fee of RM10 for each resume she helps to write. Her services are promoted on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, which has led to overwhelming response and numerous requests for her services. Despite the high demand, Nurul Ain plans to retain her RM10 fee as she finds satisfaction in offering affordable help to job seekers.
Although Nurul Ain’s services started in July, she had to temporarily stop accepting new orders after receiving 1,000 requests in a single day, which kept her occupied until September. She spends 15 hours a day writing resumes for her clients and is able to complete 15 to 20 resumes daily. Despite the opportunity to charge higher fees like other providers, she prefers to keep her services affordable as she derives happiness from helping people find employment.
Resume Writing Process and Important Information to Include
Nurul Ain offers her clients a choice of 46 resume templates in either Bahasa Malaysia or English. After clients select their preferred template, they fill in their personal information and work details through a Google Form link provided by Nurul Ain. Initially, clients sent their information via WhatsApp, but due to the growing number of clients, Google Form helped streamline the process.
Some mandatory information to include in a resume includes the applicant’s full name, contact details, education background, work experience, cocurricular activities, and skills. Nurul Ain advises job seekers to include any relevant work experience, even if it is running an online business or mention any cocurricular activities, as they can enhance the resume and demonstrate their level of activity and involvement.
Wide Range of Clients and the Importance of Skills
Nurul Ain’s clients mostly consist of fresh graduates and employed individuals looking for new opportunities. However, she also has many housewives and individuals in their 50s who lack computer or IT skills. Nurul Ain emphasizes the importance of including all skills, no matter how trivial they may seem, as it is crucial to promote oneself effectively in order to land a job.
