In Dublin, Ireland has announced an unchanged team for the upcoming Six Nations finale against Scotland. The team, which is hoping to secure a second successive championship, is coming off a loss to England that ended their Grand Slam hopes. The only change made by coach Andy Farrell is on the bench, where fit-again center Garry Ringrose has been included in the matchday squad. Ireland just needs a win or a draw to clinch the title.

The decision to revert to a 5-3 split between forwards and backs on the bench comes after injuries forced scrumhalf Jamison Gibson-Park to play out of position in the previous match. Despite the loss to England, wing Calvin Nash has been cleared to start against Scotland, a team that has not won in Dublin since 2010. Ireland currently leads the Six Nations table with 16 points, four points clear of England, who have a significantly lower points difference.

If Ireland were to suffer a bonus point loss against Scotland, it is still likely that they would be crowned champions. Meanwhile, England would need a bonus point win against France in order to overtake Ireland in the standings. The French team is currently level on 11 points with Scotland, who are in third place.

The Ireland team for the upcoming match against Scotland is as follows: 15-Hugo Keenan, 14-Calvin Nash, 13-Robbie Henshaw, 12-Bundee Aki, 11-James Lowe, 10-Jack Crowley, 9-Jamison Gibson-Park; 1-Andrew Porter, 2-Dan Sheehan, 3-Tadhg Furlong 4-Joe McCarthy, 5-Tadhg Beirne, 6-Peter O’Mahony (captain), 7- Josh van der Flier, 8-Caealan Doris

The replacements for the Ireland team include: 16-Ronan Kelleher, 17-Cian Healy, 18-Finlay Bealham, 19-Ryan Baird, 20-Jack Conan, 21-Conor Murray, 22-Harry Byrne, 23-Garry Ringrose. With the championship title within reach, the team will be looking to deliver a strong performance against Scotland in their quest for success.
