    Russia's gold reserves rise to 2,350 tons in 2023

    According to the Bank of Russia, Russia’s gold reserves grew to 2,350 tons by the end of 2023, hitting a record high value of 155.9 billion U.S. dollars. This represents an increase of 34.6 tons from the previous month’s total.

    As a result of this increase, Russia’s gold reserves now constitute 26 percent of its international reserves, which is the highest level seen since March 2000. The country’s total international reserves for last year amounted to 598.6 billion dollars, marking the highest amount since March 2022.
