PETALING JAYA: According to TikTok user @MCSyalwa, Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor does not need to apologize for the “swatting” incident involving a young student. The woman, who is believed to be the student’s mother, stated that the family sees the incident as a joke and does not consider it to be a problem. She emphasized that they have no issue with it and that the Mentri Besar was friendly, despite being tired from riding his bicycle.
“We were just joking and it shouldn’t be an issue. Don’t sensationalize the story as we, as parents, and our daughter herself have no issue with it. The Mentri Besar was good with us despite being tired from riding his bicycle,” she said in a TikTok post.

A video of Sanusi swatting the female student in the head with a stack of folded papers on Saturday (Aug 19) went viral on social media.
Wanita PKR central communications director Noraini Nordin called on Sanusi to apologize for his action, stating that it demeaned and humiliated the girl.
In response to his critics, Jeneri assemblyman Sanusi stated that he was merely joking with the young female student when he scolded her for seeking assistance at the last minute.
“This is how we joke in this village. She was enrolling into polytechnic the next day. I only hit her with a piece of paper and not a piece of wood,” he said.
