The Malaysian government, under the leadership of Transport Minister Anthony Loke, has decided to restart the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. Loke has expressed his determination to convince the Cabinet to sign a contract with Ocean Infinity to resume search operations for the ill-fated flight.

Loke mentioned that the Transport Ministry is prepared to engage with Ocean Infinity and discuss the ‘no find, no fee’ proposal. He made this announcement at the 10th Remembrance Event for Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, where he emphasized the Malaysian government’s commitment to continuing the search efforts.

He assured the audience that he will do everything within his power to secure Cabinet approval for a new contract with Ocean Infinity to recommence the search at the earliest opportunity.

Loke expressed optimism about advancements in research and technology that could potentially aid in locating the missing aircraft. He highlighted the importance of finding the plane to provide closure and truth to the families of the victims.

The vanishing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 remains one of the most tragic incidents in aviation history, taking place on March 8, 2014.

The flight, a Boeing 777-200ER, was bound for Beijing Capital International Airport from Kuala Lumpur International Airport but went missing from radar less than an hour after departure.

At the time of its disappearance, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was carrying a total of 239 individuals, including 227 passengers and 12 crew members.
