There is a circulating incident on Twitter where a female employee of a convenience store in Serdang was harassed by a stalker. The question is, is this true?

    Verdict:

    TRUE

The Serdang OCPD Asst Comm AA Anbalagan has confirmed that the incident did occur, and the police are actively searching for the suspect. The suspect, believed to be a foreign national, is being sought in relation to a stalking incident that took place at a convenience store in Taman Sri Serdang.

According to ACP Anbalagan, the incident happened on Saturday (July 22) at 11am while the victim, a female employee, was working. The suspect, who used to work as a car washer, has allegedly been watching and harassing the woman at work for several months, causing her emotional distress and concerns for her own safety.

The police have initiated an investigation under Section 507A of the Penal Code, which deals with stalking. If convicted, the suspect could face a prison sentence of up to three years, a fine, or both.
