In Argentina, a severe electrical storm along the country’s Atlantic coast has resulted in the death of at least 13 people, according to a local city mayor, Federico Susbielles of Bahia Blanca. This city is located in Buenos Aires province, known for its grain production.
President Javier Milei’s office expressed condolences to the victims’ families and advised locals to stay indoors until Sunday morning due to destructive wind gusts exceeding 150 kph (93 mph) in the area.
The storm has caused significant damage and loss of life in Argentina, prompting officials to issue warnings and take precautions to ensure the safety of the public.
