KUALA LUMPUR: Six men have been arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting a businessman and robbing him of RM18,500. The incident occurred when the victim, accompanied by two business associates and a driver, was in his office in Pandan Perdana on Monday morning. The group of men approached the businessman to discuss his outstanding debts of RM500,000. However, being unable to settle the debt, the victim was physically attacked by the group. He sustained injuries to the head and nose and had swelling in his left eye. The men fled the scene after taking the cash from the victim.

Following a report, the police apprehended the six suspects at a condominium in Puchong on Tuesday morning. The suspects, all aged between 30 and 38 and local residents, tested negative for drugs. However, four of them had previous criminal records related to drugs and other offenses. The suspects are currently detained until Saturday for further investigation under Section 394 of the Penal Code. – Bernama
