(Reuters) – Slovakia’s prime minister for a fourth term, Robert Fico, was appointed on Wednesday, promising to end military support for Ukraine and criticizing sanctions on Russia during his election campaign.
Fico’s SMER-SSD party won the September 30 election and formed a coalition with the centre-left HLAS and nationalist SNS parties. President Zuzana Caputova appointed Fico and his cabinet.
