Reports as of 10 am on Monday (Nov 13) indicate that traffic flow on major highways towards the Klang Valley is smooth and under control. A spokesperson for the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) mentioned that congestion was only present over a two-kilometre stretch on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) from Senawang to Port Dickson due to high traffic volume.
“For routes from the north, east coast, and south heading towards the Klang Valley, no significant congestion has been reported. The same goes for routes exiting the Klang Valley,” he told Bernama.
As Klang Valley residents return home after the Deepavali holidays, it is expected that traffic will increase in the afternoon. The spokesman also advised highway users to follow suggested travel times to avoid any severe congestion.
