According to a report by Reuters, Arsenal delivered a resounding 6-0 victory over West Ham United in their Premier League match on Sunday, seeking to maintain their position in the title race.
It was a revenge win for Arsenal, who had previously lost twice to West Ham this season. The team managed to secure a 4-0 lead by halftime with goals from William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel, and Leandro Trossard.
The onslaught continued in the second half, with Saka scoring again to make it 5-0. Former West Ham midfielder Declan Rice added insult to injury by scoring Arsenal’s sixth goal, further humiliating the hosts.
Arsenal magnificently closed the gap in goal difference with champions Manchester City, both now tied at 52 points. However, due to their lower goal count, Arsenal remains in third place. The current league leaders, Liverpool, hold 54 points.
