The Seagulls, Brighton & Hove Albion, managed to secure a 2-2 draw against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday. Brighton’s captain Lewis Dunk scored an impressive volley to equalize after Mohamed Salah had scored twice for Liverpool.

Brighton took an early lead in the 20th minute when Simon Adingra capitalized on former Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister’s mistake and found the back of the net. However, Salah leveled the score with a left-foot finish in the 40th minute, following a well-executed team move.

In first-half stoppage time, Salah gave Liverpool the lead from the penalty spot after Pascal Gross brought down Dominik Szoboszlai. Salah’s shot was placed to the left of goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

In the 54th minute, substitute Ryan Gravenberch, who had replaced Harvey Elliott at halftime, missed a glorious opportunity to extend Liverpool’s lead. His close-range attempt from Szoboszlai’s pass hit the crossbar.

Gravenberch had another chance in the 65th minute, but his shot lacked power and was easily saved.

Brighton had their fair share of opportunities in the second half. In the 69th minute, they appealed for a penalty when Kaoru Mitoma’s shot, from a cut-in from the right, seemingly hit Virgil van Dijk’s arm. However, the referee disagreed with the claims.

Brighton finally found the equalizer in the 78th minute. Andy Robertson chose not to clear Solli March’s free kick, allowing defender Dunk to volley the ball into the net.

In the 84th minute, Joao Pedro squandered a golden chance for Brighton as he failed to hit the target from close range. Despite this miss, Brighton managed to hold on to the draw, remaining sixth in the table with 16 points, just one point behind third-placed Liverpool.
