PARIS (Reuters) – France midfielder Adrien Rabiot looked set to join Olympique de Marseille as a free agent after the Ligue 1 club said both parties had reached an agreement.
“Olympique de Marseille announce that they have reached an agreement with Adrien Rabiot to sign the French international midfielder,” OM said in a statement overnight.
“The player will sign for OM subject to a medical.”
Rabiot, 29, left Juventus at the end of last season after his contract expired.
The 2022 World Cup runner-up had joined the Italian side from Marseille’s arch rivals Paris St Germain in 2019.
