In Lecce, Italy, Juventus secured a 3-0 victory over Lecce on Sunday, propelling them to the top of Serie A. A pair of goals by Dusan Vlahovic in the second half, along with a late header from Gleison Bremer, sealed the win for Juventus.
Juventus now sits at the top of the standings with 52 points, just one point ahead of second-placed Inter Milan. Inter Milan did not have a league match this weekend due to their participation in the Italian Supercup. Lecce currently ranks 14th with 21 points.
The deadlock was finally broken after 59 minutes when Vlahovic skillfully directed the ball into the far corner, putting Juventus on the scoreboard.
Nine minutes later, Vlahovic extended Juventus’ lead by redirecting a header from Weston McKennie that was already on its way to the net.
Bremer sealed the victory for Juventus with a powerful header over the Lecce defense from a set piece, finding the back of the net five minutes before the end of the game.
