In a match at Goodison Park on Saturday, Wolverhampton Wanderers secured their first win of the Premier League season with a 1-0 victory over Everton. Sasa Kalajdzic scored the decisive goal three minutes before the end of the game, heading in a cross from Pedro Neto. This win gives Wolves their first points of the season and adds to Everton’s woes.
Despite Everton being the more threatening side, they were unable to convert their numerous chances into goals. Kalajdzic, who came on as a substitute, capitalized on his opportunity to score the lone goal of the match. This defeat mirrors their previous loss to Fulham on the opening day of the campaign.
Both teams had goals disallowed earlier in the match, but Wolves managed to break the deadlock with their only shot on target. On the other hand, Everton’s winless run continues, as they are now without a point or a goal in their first three games, a new unwanted record in their history.
