(Reuters) – A late goal from Goncalo Ramos helped Paris St Germain secure a 1-1 draw against Clermont at Parc des Princes on Saturday, saving them from a potential home defeat.
At half-time, PSG found themselves trailing 1-0 after Habib Keita capitalized on some defensive errors by the home team to score in the 32nd minute.
Despite their shaky start, PSG dominated the second half, especially after Kylian Mbappe came on as a substitute. It was Mbappe’s pass that led to Ramos’ equalizer in the 85th minute, salvaging a point for the league leaders.
With this result, PSG maintains their position at the top of the Ligue 1 standings with 63 points, extending their lead to 13 points over second-placed Brest. On the other hand, Clermont remains rooted to the bottom of the table with 21 points, two points behind Metz.
