Woodrow’s 96th-minute goal sealed Luton’s 2-1 victory in the all-Premier League tie, leaving the crowd at Goodison Park stunned.
Luton took the lead with a 39th-minute own goal by Vitaliy Mykolenko, but Jack Harrison equalized for Everton in the 55th minute with a low shot that slipped through Luton keeper Tim Krul’s hands.
Joao Pedro scored a hat-trick, including two penalty goals, to lead Brighton & Hove Albion to a 5-2 win at Sheffield United in another all-Premier League clash.
Leicester City defeated Championship rivals Birmingham City 3-0 with goals from Jamie Vardy, Yunus Akgun, and Dennis Praet, while Leeds United drew 1-1 with Plymouth Argyle.
Maidstone stunned Ipswich with a 2-1 victory at Portman Road, knocking out a side that is 98 places above them in the English football pyramid. Maidstone is the lowest ranked team left in the competition.
