In Serie A on Sunday, Champions Napoli managed to rescue a 2-2 draw at home against AC Milan after being two goals down, thereby maintaining their position in the top four of the standings.
AC Milan, currently in third place, are trailing three points behind leaders Inter Milan and one point behind second-placed Juventus. Naples is currently in the fourth position with 18 points.
Olivier Giroud broke the deadlock for Milan in the 22nd minute as he headed the opener from an assist by Christian Pulisic. He further extended Milan’s lead with another close-range header, this time from a cross by Davide Calabria, just nine minutes later.
In the second half, Napoli winger Matteo Politano ignited a comeback for Rudi Garcia’s team by scoring just five minutes after the break. In the 63rd minute, Giacomo Raspadori equalized the score with an unstoppable shot from a free kick.
