(Reuters) – Nice’s strong performance at the start of the Ligue 1 season came to a halt on Saturday with a 1-0 loss to Nantes, ending their streak of eight consecutive clean sheets. After 25 minutes, Nantes’ Florent Mollet took advantage of a rebound in the box and scored.
Despite several opportunities, Nice was unable to beat Nantes’ goalkeeper Alban Lafont, who made crucial saves throughout the game. Nice is currently in second place in the standings with 29 points, just one point behind first place Paris St Germain, who will visit Le Havre on Sunday.
