Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia both scored for Napoli in their 2-1 home victory against Cagliari in the Serie A on Saturday. The win allowed Napoli to temporarily move up to fourth place in the standings.
Osimhen opened the scoring for Napoli in the 69th minute after his header was deflected by Cagliari keeper Simone Scuffet onto the post and then into the net. Three minutes later, Cagliari’s Leonardo Pavoletti equalized from close range. However, Kvaratskhelia secured the win for Napoli with a goal 15 minutes before the end of the match, after Osimhen assisted him with a beautiful control of the ball.
As a result of their victory, Napoli climbed up to fourth place on the standings with 27 points from 16 games, trailing 11 points behind leaders Inter Milan, who were scheduled to visit mid-table Lazio on Sunday. On the other hand, Cagliari remained in 16th place with 13 points.
