In Madrid, Spain midfielder Rodri was not present at training on Monday due to personal reasons, and his availability for Tuesday’s friendly against Brazil at the Santiago Bernabeu is uncertain, according to the Spanish Football Association (RFEF).
Rodri, who was given a rest by manager Luis de la Fuente for Spain’s recent 1-0 loss to Colombia, was given permission to leave the team’s camp on Saturday to deal with personal matters. RFEF stated that he is expected to rejoin the team later on Monday.
The 27-year-old midfielder from Manchester City is currently experiencing the peak of his career, contributing to the Premier League club’s historic Champions League victory last year.
Spain’s defeat on Friday marked their first loss in a year, with key players like Rodri, Dani Carvajal, and Alvaro Morata being rested ahead of the upcoming European Championship in June and July.
