In a Premier League match on Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Bournemouth 3-1, despite Bournemouth’s recent successful run of games. Pape Matar Sarr, Son Heung-min and Richarlison contributed to Tottenham’s victory by scoring goals.
Before facing Tottenham, Bournemouth had been unbeaten in seven league games, winning six of them. Despite their strong performance, Bournemouth was unable to continue their streak in the match against Tottenham.
During the game, Sarr scored an early goal for Tottenham before suffering an injury. Later in the game, captain Son and Richarlison added to Tottenham’s lead, securing their victory against Bournemouth.
Although Alex Scott scored a goal for Bournemouth in the 84th minute, it was not enough to change the outcome of the game in their favor.
Tottenham’s win, while unconvincing, has placed them in contention for a top-four finish as they head into the New Year. With 39 points from 20 games, Tottenham is only one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal and three points behind the league leaders, Liverpool.
