    (Reuters) – According to the BBC, the Women’s Super League has broken a new attendance record with 717,721 fans attending matches so far this season, with six rounds remaining.

    This season’s attendance figure has surpassed the previous record of 689,297 fans set during the 2022-23 season. Chelsea Women’s recent match against Arsenal drew a record crowd of 32,970 fans, contributing to the overall increase in attendance.

    Arsenal’s victory over Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium also set a new attendance record for a Women’s Super League match this season, highlighting the growing popularity of women’s football in England.

    With the exception of West Ham United, all WSL teams will have played at least one match in their main stadium by the end of the upcoming weekend’s matches, showcasing the league’s commitment to providing top-tier football experiences for fans.
