REMBAU: A Singaporean was killed when he lost control of his high-powered bike and crashed at KM223.8 of the North-South Expressway near here.

Student Muhammad Razif Harun, 21 who was heading back to the republic when the accident happened, was killed on the spot in the 4am accident.

Rembau acting OCPD Asst Supt Nur Zuliati Razali said the deceased was believed to have been heading home after a short holiday in Kuala Lumpur.

“The accident happened as the deceased was heading towards Ayer Keroh.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that he lost control of the bike and then crashed into the guardrail,” she said in a statement.

ASP Nur Zuliati said the deceased suffered serious head injuries. His remains were later taken to the Rembau Hospital for post mortem.

The case, she said, is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
